signageOS announces the introduction of signageOS Open prior to ISE 2019. signageOS Open consists of a portion of the signageOS solution offered to any CMS company at NO COST. signageOS has optimized a portion of its Javascript API for content management and delivery so any CMS company can use it to integrate any SoC display or media player while using their unique CMS features.

The purpose of releasing signageOS Open to CMS companies for free is to eliminate the issue of hardware/software compatibility in digital signage. This issue has loomed over the digital signage industry and was one of the main arguments against using SoC displays for digital signage. The “marrying one solution” argument will no longer be valid.

signageOS Open’s features include:

• Integration of any SoC display or media player

• Utilize the JS API for content features like accelerated video playback, offline file management, synchronized playback, etc.
