Android Release
We are thrilled to share the latest release of Android CoreApp 4.3.2, accompanied by a patch for Tizen, webOS, and BrightSign, specifically addressing offline applet playback issues. This release introduces a variety of enhancements under the hood, along with several new functionalities, such as:
Android 9+ now reports Wi-Fi SSID and signal strength.
JS API now supports key codes such as MEDIA_NEXT, MEDIA_PREVIOUS, MEDIA_RECORD, INFO, GUIDE, CAPTIONS, and MEDIA_AUDIO_TRACK
Sony Bravia: In Kiosk Mode, IR remote control keys are intentionally suppressed to enhance the user experience.
Developer Option: Hotel Mode enables IR remote control and user power control capabilities within Kiosk Mode.
Developer Option: Access Video Scaling Mode to optimize your viewing experience.
Furthermore, several patches have been backported to the 4.x.x versions.
CLI Upgrade
The latest CLI v1.4.1 iteration introduces numerous enhancements, updates under the hood, and complete compatibility with Auth0 login.
Device Policy
The rollout for Applet configuration in Device Policy is happening this week, making it available to all users. This feature enables you to set up an Applet within your Device Policy, streamlining your deployment and operational processes.
Bulk provisioning Upgrade
In our quest for efficient device deployment, we're introducing a new "Scanner App" in preview mode. This app enables users to swiftly scan labels on carton packaging from specific brands. Upon scanning, the device is registered for provisioning with preconfigured policy, tag, and location settings, ensuring a seamless and fast deployment process.
UX Improvements
Enhancements have been made to the device details, introducing a more refined structure along with new visual components specifically designed to provide insights into storage capacity and alert status.
Location Upgrade
The locations list has been updated to display featured images, offering added context and simplifying navigation for an improved user experience.
