Android Core App v4.0.0
We've released a new major version of the Android Core App, v4.0.0. This update includes QR code provisioning, new hardware support, performance, and reliability improvements, making device management easier than ever. Update today to take advantage of all the new features and improvements.
New Betas for BrightSign, Tizen, and WebOS
We've also released new beta versions of our BrightSign, Tizen, and webOS Core Apps, which provide improved video playback, sync playback, and device-specific features. Test them out ahead of the official release, which is planned for sometime in June.
Tizen 2.4 Firmware Patch for Let's Encrypt SSLs
We've released a firmware support patch for Tizen 2.4, allowing it to utilize Let's Encrypt SSLs. The new version 2160.1 is now available for popular PMF/PMH displays and brings support for the latest Let's Encrypt SSL, as well as renewing some expired root certificates. The firmware has been extensively tested and certified, ensuring its reliability and effectiveness. Upgrading to the new version can easily be done remotely over the REST API or Box.
New Icons in Box
We've added new icons within Box for supported platforms to provide users with a more intuitive and informative experience. These new icons also show the respective version of the platform, adding an additional layer of detail about the device type. We’re making it easy to identify different platforms and their versions, streamlining your workflow and increasing productivity.
Telemetry Intervals in Box
You can now adjust telemetry intervals on a per-device basis or via device policy in Box. With this update, you can configure how often you want to receive device stats and screenshots, accommodating bandwidth and monitoring requirements. Please note that this feature is only available for select device plans. By giving you more control over telemetry intervals, we hope to provide you with a more personalized and efficient experience with Box.
