A lot happened at signageOS this November!
We networked with digital signage leaders in Munich, launched one of our biggest CloudControl upgrades ever, celebrated an important leadership milestone, and even joined the Windows conversation with some bold insights.
Grab a coffee and enjoy the highlights. Let’s rewind November together!

Invidis Executive Lounge Munich
Picture this! Great food, big ideas, and the top digital signage leaders from across Europe, all under the exquisite roof of Feinkost Käfer. That was the invidis Executive Lounge 2025, and yes… we were very proud to be part of it.
Stan Richter and David Sauer represented signageOS amongst an incredible lineup of innovators.
Huge shoutout to Florian Rotberg and the invidis team for bringing the ecosystem together in the best way possible!

Meet signageOS’s New COO!
David Sauer is officially stepping into the Chief Operating Officer role! David’s story is the kind we love. A mix of grit, talent, growth, and bringing people together. From leading major digital deployments across Europe to quietly stitching together operations and teams at signageOS, David has been shaping our direction for a long time.
We couldn’t be prouder or more excited for what’s ahead with him as COO!

CloudControl Update: Scripts, Plugins & Runners
This month, we introduced three powerful new customization features that give partners more flexibility than ever before:
Scripts – Run quick, one-off commands instantly
Plugins – Turn custom logic into built-in, repeatable features
Runners – Keep processes running continuously behind the scenes
These additions let partners solve unique challenges faster, deliver client features more efficiently, and tailor CloudControl exactly to their needs. As our CPO, Lukas Danek, shared: “CloudControl should adapt to our partners, not the other way around.”
We’re excited to see what our partners build with these new tools.

Industry Insight: Windows’ New Digital Signage Mode
Microsoft recently introduced a new Digital Signage Mode for Windows, designed to reduce the visibility of system errors by briefly showing them and then fading the screen to black.
Modern digital signage networks rely on:
Reliable remote management
Real-time visibility
Self-healing systems
Smart OS-level safeguards
Purpose-built digital signage operating systems already deliver these capabilities, not just masking problems, but preventing them and recovering from them.
It’s encouraging to see Microsoft engaging in this space, and we believe the strongest future solutions will come from collaboration across the ecosystem.

We're looking forward to seeing you there!
